Separated from the lower town and the main tourist areas, the historic old quarter offers a more relaxed atmosphere and several cultural attractions. Despite the fact that it is located just 3 kilometers from the main coastal tourist area, the city center of Paphos — or Ktim, as it is called by locals — feels like a completely different world.
Stroll through this charming and peaceful neighborhood to admire the elegant architecture of the colonial era and the modern business center of the city. Ktima is an ideal place for those who want to take a break from the more lively and tourist area of Kato Paphos (Lower Paphos).
Visit the bars in the city center and traditional taverns. Enjoy a coffee at the cafe overlooking the harbor. Be sure to check out the market, known locally as the Agora, where Pafos residents buy fresh produce. Due to its narrow streets and compact size, the center of Paphos is best explored on foot. If you don't want to go uphill, you can take the local bus from the harbor.
The completion date is June 2026.
