Sompa is a quiet small town in the East of Estonia, where the majority of the population is Russian-speaking.
The city of 800 inhabitants is part of the Kohtla-Järve municipal district, but, unlike the Järve part, where there are many hazardous industries, fresh air does not spoil anything here! The regional center oJõhvi is 9 km away, Kohtla-Järve is 11 km away.

The apartment had been completely renovated in 2021.

1. Completely new floors were installed (linoleum on natural wood and fiberboard), interfloor insulation was replaced.
2. Walls and ceiling re-plastered and designer painted.
3. Replacedd plumbing and sewerage system.
4. A new Electrolux electric water heater was installed - under warranty.
5. A new ALFA-PLAM wood-burning stove with an oven has been installed - under warranty.
6. A completely new internal chimney was installed by a certified stove-chimney sweeper, an official certificate of commissioning of the heating system was received.
7. Roof was locally renovated with a guarantee.

The apartment has new high-quality double-glazed windows.

The apartment does not have central heating, which is important if you do not plan to live in it for some time - you will not have to pay dearly for a service that you do not use. The apartment association does not have mandatory contributions, which also saves the budget.
In winter, a heating stove heats a large kitchen-dining room and one adjoining room, totaling about 35 square meters. The second room, if necessary, can be heated by an electric radiator.
Initially, according to the plan for building a house, the apartment also had a full-fledged brick heating stove of the Swedish type, with high efficiency and a large area of the thermal surface, which heated all the rooms.
After central heating was installed in Sompa, the previous owners dismantled the upper part of this stove, that is, the chimney in the attic. But, if desired, this stove can be restored -to the whole apartment will be heated very profitably, since this type of stove consumes very little fuel and gives off the maximum of heat.

The installation of new electrics has not been completed in the apartment - 2 sockets in the room and overhead lighting are working.

Sompa is surrounded by gardening associations - there are several horticultural partnerships within a 5-minute walk from the house, where you can become a member or buy another ground plot with 10-20 acres of land very cheaply ... We were offered it for 500 euros, but there was no time for gardening because of repairs. Thus, this apartment with all amenities near the city will be a very convenient country house with land.
