Protaras is a tourist area of Paralimni, located on the southeastern coast of the island, an hour's drive from Larnaca International Airport. Protaras stretches for 10 km along the seashore from Kapparis to Cape Greco.

Protaras is a small resort in a picturesque bay with crystal clear water, a beach with fine sand and a tiny island near the shore.
