Description of the property
The seaside resort of Heringsdorf, located on the picturesque Baltic Sea coast on the island of Usedom, is one of the most famous and attractive holiday destinations in Germany. With its impressive resort architecture, wide sandy beaches and diverse leisure activities, Heringsdorf attracts many visitors every year.
Heringsdorf's landmark pier, one of the longest in Europe, stretches far into the Baltic Sea above a beautiful sandy beach. It is a popular tourist attraction with fantastic views of the Baltic Sea. Visitors can stroll here, enjoy the fresh sea air and feel the marine atmosphere. The resort park with its manicured green areas invites you to linger for rest and relaxation.
Two impressive 11-storey buildings rise behind the beach - the Usedom sanatorium and the Heringsdorf Spa Hotel. These prefabricated buildings, built in 1984, tower over all other buildings in the village and form an interesting contrast with the numerous villas in the resort architecture. The two tower buildings were completely renovated in accordance with new standards in 1995.
The Uzedom Sanatorium, one of the most famous in Uzedom, specializes in orthopedics and respiratory diseases and has a very high occupancy rate. Many of the patients subsequently become guests of a nearby spa hotel specializing in family vacations. Conversely, vacationers from the spa hotel, if necessary, return to the sanatorium as rehabilitators. The synergetic effect for both enterprises "under one roof" is very significant. Since 1995, the buildings have been continuously upgraded and improved in terms of energy efficiency, so that all holiday apartments/guest rooms meet modern standards. Hotel guests appreciate the wide range of recreational opportunities offered by Heringsdorf: from walking along the Baltic Sea to excursions to the surrounding area, a variety of water sports and, finally, shopping in Swinemünde, 10 kilometers away. If the weather is a little rainy, it doesn't matter - the hotel has a large indoor playground for children, and instead of the Baltic Sea, you can use the swimming pool. While the children indulge in these activities, parents can relax in the sauna.
While the spa hotel has 118 apartments with 1-4 rooms, the sanatorium mainly has spacious single rooms. Most of all residential units/rooms in both properties have a view of the Baltic Sea and one or more balconies. In addition to administrative and auxiliary facilities, the sanatorium has additional commercial facilities: a hairdresser, a gallery and two independent catering facilities. A large number of treatment rooms at the sanatorium can open up alternative uses: depending on the needs, the number of rooms can be increased and/or the premises can be used for various types of leisure activities.

Location
Heringsdorf is a seaside resort on the island of Usedom in Germany. It is located on the Baltic Sea coast and is part of the Vorpommern-Greifswald district of the federal state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Heringsdorf on the island of Usedom was first officially recognized as a resort in 1850. However, its development as a resort had already begun several years earlier, when the first guests and resort residents discovered the healing properties of the Baltic Sea water, natural iodine brine, and a mild, stimulating climate. Heringsdorf quickly became a popular holiday destination and today is one of the most famous seaside resorts on the Baltic coast of Germany.
Usedom and Heringsdorf can be easily reached by car via the A20 motorway and the B110 highway. It's even faster to get from Berlin via Szczecin (PL). Heringsdorf can be reached by train via Züssow. Finally, during the summer months, an airport with flights from several German cities may be an alternative.
Various
About 6 million overnight stays are recorded on the island of Usedom per year, of which almost 3 million occur in the municipality of Heringsdorf alone.
