Location
Although the settlement of Zalakomar has existed for a long time, it was only created in its current form in 1969, when Kiskomarom and Komarvaros merged. Zalakomar is located 18 km northeast of Nagykanizsa. The area is crossed by Autobahn6831 runs from north to south through Kiskomarom, from which road 7511 branches towards Galambok, Nagyrecsze and Nagykanizsa. From there, road 7521 branches off towards Zalakaros on the outskirts. The main route to Komárváros is road 6805 between Marzali and Galambok. Road 68 170 connects the village to the nearest exit from the M7 motorway.
