Janosomorje (German: St. Johann auf dem Heideboden) is a city in the district of Gyor-Mochon-Shopron, near the border with Austria (the Andau border crossing is about 5 km) and the city of Moshonmadyarovar (about 13 km). About 6000 inhabitants live in Yanosomorye (as of 2011). It consists of three districts: Moshonsentjanos, Moshonsentpeter and Pustasomorye, which in 1970 were merged into the city of Yanosomorye.
Since the 1970s, the Gyor-Mochon-Shopron copper economy has grown steadily.
Large-scale agriculture (due to the mild climate) as well as developing industrial and construction systems of production and service, plus the establishment of profitable companies in the high-tech sector, played an important role in this development.
Public transport
The city is directly connected to the Porpatz-Pojon/Bratislava/Presburg railway line via Chorna and Hedeshhal.
The road network is also well developed, the distance to Vienna is about 1 hour.
In the Yanosomorye area there is all the necessary infrastructure.
