Opposite rises imposing Mount Amiata, an ancient extinct volcano, now a popular tourist destination in both winter and summer, perfect for those who love nature, skiing or simply relaxing.
Pari is often considered the gateway to the Maremma, although some place this border further south, in the area of Paganico. In the surrounding area, the medieval villages of Montemassi and Roccastrada are also worth a visit, easily reached by car.
The Petriolo thermal baths, famous since Roman times and possibly already frequented by the Etruscans, represent another point of interest in the area. The first spa dates back to the beginning of the 15th century, and the thermal complex is still active and frequented today.
Finally, from here it is possible to set off on excursions to discover the Val d'Orcia and Monte Amiata, territories rich in history, nature and culture, all waiting to be explored.
