Nishantashi is an elite residential area with fashionable boutiques where you can buy clothes of famous Turkish and foreign brands. Art Nouveau buildings have stylish restaurants serving dishes from Turkey and other countries. There are many cafes on Abdi Ipekci Street with wide sidewalks, and small bakeries and markets operate in nearby alleys. In the shady park of Machka there are beautiful pedestrian paths.
Courtyards and squares, integral elements of European urban architecture, are indispensable for urban life. Offering the opportunity to relax and socialize in the city, combining shops, restaurants and places to relax, the concept of the courtyard is reinterpreted in a modern way in Lotus Walk. Designed to create public meeting spaces from shared spaces hidden between buildings to allow pedestrian access, the project features buildings around courtyards with spaces suitable for commerce, restaurants and meetings, especially at street level. This urban mixed construction opens up new spaces for shopping, commerce, living and hotel functions at a balanced level. Offering easy access through courtyards, the structure creates a special accord in terms of both its own dynamics and the surrounding urban texture.
The ground floor, accessible from Halakargazi Street, is designed as a semi-open public space with restaurants, cafes, recreation areas and outdoor access. Natural stones on the floor, benches, landscape of natural plants and installations enriched with flora, helped to create a breathing and living courtyard in which the interior and exterior are intertwined. Transparent canopies in this area allow both maximum use of sunlight and continuous filtering of light to the lower floors, creating a well-lit and modern atmosphere on all floors.
