next to the first casino in Wynn Al Marjan Island Resort, a casino complex under construction on Al Marjan Island in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
The resort's doors will open only in 2027, but the rendered images make it clear that it will become a new architectural landmark of the United Arab Emirates.
According to the Wynn Resorts network, the resort in Ras Al Khaimah will have an area of 18,500 square meters. It will be larger than a similar casino hotel in Las Vegas.
The construction cost is estimated at 14 billion dirhams, the Wynn Al Marjan Island Resort will offer 1,500 rooms, suites and villas for guests, 24 restaurants, shops and spas will operate on its territory.
The resort will be designed for both one-day visits and multi-day stays. In particular, ultra-modern laser and light shows will be waiting for guests in the evenings.
Wynn Al Marjan Island Resort will become the first hotel in the UAE with a casino and, according to experts, will change the rules of the game in the tourist market of Ras Al Khaimah.
The tourist flow targets previously set by the local Tourism Development Authority amount to 3 million tourists. Thanks to the opening of the new resort, the emirate will not only receive more tourists, but can also expect a general economic recovery.
The largest increase in the tourist flow is expected in the year of the resort's opening. In 2027, 3.8 million tourists may visit Ras Al Khaimah. Thus, the average annual growth rate will be 28% compared to 2022. Do not forget that the resort will help create a large number of new jobs.
Currently, the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah is updating the legislative framework and writing laws on gambling, taking as a model the rules in force in Singapore and the United States.
The Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority has created a new department to regulate the activities of gaming establishments, which will deal with licensing, taxation, operations and consumer protection.
